That’s why, beginning in 2024, we officially launched a comprehensive 5S on-site management initiative across all our production facilities.
The 5S methodology originates from Japan and is a cornerstone of lean manufacturing principles. At its core, 5S is about creating a highly efficient, safe, and orderly work environment by focusing on five key elements:
Seiri (Sort): Eliminate unnecessary items from the workspace to reduce clutter and improve focus.
Set in Order (Seiton): Arrange tools and materials in a logical and orderly manner for easy access.
Seiso (Shine): Regularly clean workstations and equipment to maintain a neat and hygienic environment.
Seiketsu (Standardize): Establish consistent standards for cleanliness and organization across all departments.
Shitsuke (Sustain): Foster discipline to maintain these practices long-term through continuous education and leadership.
These five steps form the backbone of a workplace culture where everything has its place, and everyone understands their role in keeping it that way.
To reinforce the strength of our internal operations and support the smooth implementation of the ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) systems, we formed a dedicated 5S Inspection Team. This team comprises department heads and key personnel responsible for conducting regular inspections and evaluations across all factory zones.
These inspections are more than just routine checks—they are opportunities to identify areas for improvement, encourage accountability, and ensure compliance with our quality, safety, and environmental goals. By aligning 5S practices with these international standards, we enhance the consistency and reliability of every product that leaves our facility.
While systems and processes are essential, our real strength lies in our people. That’s why we’ve created a supportive culture where employees are not only expected to follow 5S practices but are also empowered to contribute ideas and improvements.
To encourage active participation, we've introduced a structured 5S reward and discipline mechanism. Each month, performance is evaluated across various teams, and those who demonstrate excellence in maintaining 5S standards are recognized and rewarded. These monthly awards not only motivate individuals but also foster healthy competition and collaboration within and between departments.
